i made a cardboard refridgerator for the boys, which they enjoyed until they destroyed.
so I was looking to see if I could find a kitchen playset that was folding so it would take up less space.
So far no luck.
I am also weary of any "wooden" sets as they are likely to be MDF rather than solid wood. (like KidKraft)

This red retro styled set is compact, complete and cute! Also comes in blue

Sink + Range could go with this fridge

but so far I am not finding anything that is folding!

Last night Cat and I were up till 1am talking. It felt like no sooner had I just started dozing off, then Bear is crawling over us to come cuddle with me. No sooner had he settled then Munchkin woke up very unhappy. At first I just stayed put. then I took Bear back to his bed and tried to talk to and cuddle with Munchkin. He didn't want me and was kicking me on purpose. I went back to my bed. He continues being loud, I go back to his bed, the other side this time, and he kicks me again. He really doesn't want me. So back to my bed, still loud. Cat decides to go cuddle with Munchkin and that is what he wants evidently. I guess the fact that Papa had been there when he went to sleep, but not when he woke up, was making things worse. Bear crawls back into my bed. I got to Cat's position, so I can move Bear to his bed once he is asleep, but that doesn't happen. Eventually Munchkin is back asleep and cat comes back to bed, Bear and i move over, bear is congested and snoring. I put him back in his bed on his stomach, since he was snoring on his back, ah quiet! then back to my bed for a little sleep.

Morning came too quickly!

Bear can count to 3. This morning he even showed he knows what that means. He brought me 1 packet of hot cocoa and said "one," then he brought me the other and said "two." there was only two so there was no oportunity for him to say three.

He also knows the word chocolate.

Last night Cat finished his second 1:1,000 scale paper constellation class starship. (ST: TOS Enterprise, but this is the Farragut) and so he wanted pictures with the boys. Enterprise, Farragut, and the new movie DVD case all come out. Munchkin identifies them all as Enterprise or Spaceship, Bear just manages "Ship."
Munchkin correctly identifies the movie DVD case as "Movie Enterprise"

raising up the next generation of Geeks!

Some what Cat and I talked about last night was Christmas. He is trying to ignore it because his fondest memories are flying little Millennium Falcons in the tree, and so he still wants to do that. Maybe in a few years we will get a tree and a Falcon for him?

Friday was furnace check (which we never run) and general appartment inspection. We had spent much of the week cleaning the main rooms not knowing they would poke their noses in EVERY room!

So my sewing on Mucnhkin's Costume was a bit delayed. The serger did not like the spines I was planing on having down the back so I had to redo that seam. The outer tail portion was complete except that I never put on the fasteners to hold the belly/crotch strap to the back. Ah safety pins work wonders! The shirt still needs a hem and the pants have the elastic held in place with 6 safety pins.

So the plan was that I would bring the boys to the office just before quiting time so they could trick or treat. I had just finished sewing the front of Munchkin's hood and gotten them dressed and was putting their shoes on when Cat came through the door. too late!

Bear was NOT HAPPY with the lion costume, so I put him back in regular clothes and purchased a $4 t-shirt that said "Mommy's little Monster" on it when at the market.

Saturday we decided to go to the local shopping hub becouse they were doing T-o-T in the afternoon and we wanted to pick up some items.
Munchkin was very happy in his dragon costume. he carried his tail everywhere, so it isn't very dirty. The boys got like 3 pieces of candy each, so not a big haul but good enough for their first hallows.
Bear lived up to his shirt.
First stop was Noah's Beagles for lunch, then to Barnes and Nobel.
There were about a dozen books that I would have loved to take home!
First thing I wanted was Madam Alexander cloth wicked witch of the west. still want it! coulda swore the tag was $15!
Then there was Vargas, which did come home with us. a few other books looked good but the one I decided I had to have was Tudor Chronicles and I haven't had a good chance to look at it!

got munchkin new shoes, bear a doggy leash like the monkey one I can't find in the house, and a stop at the hobby store.

Bused home and decided not to get papa murpheys pizza, but to do the lamb. cat and I crashed on bed boys watch thomas train. then it was dark and we decided that we really did want Pizza. So we walk across the street and the door is locked. They kindly let us in asking if we had an order to pick up, no we hadn't called ahead. they had ran out and closed early but there was this large chicken garlic that was a mis-order we could have, that sounded great! and look there is a Ceaser salad! Yum! and then they gave us 2! tubs of cookie dough for the boys! they were thanking us for being so nice and cooperative and we were thanking them for having something for us! all because we look a little out of place, even though I wasn't wearing my hat.
Bear had fallen asleep on the walk but woke up when pizza was done. Munchkin didn't eat the pizza, nor the PB&J I made him.

Sunday we cleaned. I did masive laundry and Cat attacked the bedroom. Now Bear's bed is on the other side of ours (papa's side) and Munchkin is on the other side of Bear. I have a narrow walkway between the wall. Worked okay last night.

Now to upload pictures.

Lunch at Noah's, then had an hour to kill wiating for next bus so we went into B&N Munchkin picked out a train mag, hubby got PC Pilot. Munchkin kept saying "Plane chasing Train" or "Train chasing Airplane" we thought he was talking about the two magazines, but no there was an article on trains and airplanes.

We got to the museum and it wasn't open. the park nextdoor was great and Bear likes slides! then we thought about seeing a movie but it was already 5 and the buses stop running at 7 so we headed back to the hub and went to Target to get Munchkin more doggy jammies. By now it was getting cold and Hubby didn't have a coat. he was complaing, so I said we could look for one at Target. he was sure there wouldn't be anything. But we came out with a wool peacoat for $60! I was right!
Then to Trader Joes for food and walk home. Boys fell asleep on the way home but they woke up when we got home.
is brought to you by things I have thought about randomly.

I finally wrote my sister and stuck my foot in my mouth. but I needed to. "If you can't say something nice, say nothing" is not always the right course of action. Instead of talking behind her back, I came out and told her my thoughts.

A local store has recently decided that they will be closed on Sundays as it is "God's day off"
Now I still don't quite understand why Sunday is the Christian Sabbath, when the original Christians were Jews, and the Jews still have Saturday as their Sabbath.
But I am totally for any small business to have a day or two when they are not open for business. I don't really care which days either!
The thing that has caused me to think is saying that God takes a day off.
Okay do we really know what the passage of time is like to God? It could be different than our passage of time.
But that isn't really the point I am trying to make (and probably failing)
The point is, does God take a day off?
Which of course could be translated into: Is God working?
If you think that God is performing little mircales everyday, like oh say Gravity (which last I heard doesn't have a sound scientific explanation) we can be assured that he doesn't take a day off or we would all be dead.
Now if you think God is just sitting back and watching us (cute little science expereiment we may be) then why does he need a day off?

And may I make a small tangent. Why oh Why do I still refer to God as male! I seriously doubt the Supreme Being has a gender, thank you very much.

But yeah, the sign made me think.

And while I am on this touchy subject of religeon, let's talk about Christmas.

Yup that Christianized Pagan holiday.

To me it is a comercial holiday almost completly stripped of any reliegous backing.
Which really irks some people, so they go saying slogans like saying it is Jesus' Birthday.

Um Hello, the Georgian callander wasn't around then so we can be pretty damn sure that he wasn't born on the 25th of December. Not to mention a multitude of other factors that point to it not being his birthday.

Okay I should let this all go.

Do I think too much?

This is what I posted to my FB today
"To the males: If you are going to judge women on physical appearance only, be prepared to be judged back! If you are not Fabulously rich/famous/attractive, what makes you think you warrant a supper model girlfriend? I know I may not be what you call ..."Eye Candy" but my husband would disagree with you, because our love has made him biased. Love may not be blind, but beauty can certainly be only skin deep."

And here is the more elaborate story
A friend of my husbands sent him an e-mail complaing and my husband read some of it out loud, I could almost feel smoke coming out of my ears.
Here is some of it Evidently he had gone to a local ammusement park. Names changed to protect innocent
"the eye candy as Milo likes to call it is few and far between. I didn't even need to use my toes to count the few attractive females. The standard adult female shape is no longer the figure 8 but the pear. And even much of the teen girls the jail bait as some would call them are getting just as fat, so their letting themselves go sooner and sooner. This country needs to go on a diet, exercise, and kick all the bad food out. Get rid of fast food or what I like to call Fat Food. I think I would have to become and alcoholic to be satisfied with our country's new standard on female shape. But that is just my opinion."

This from a guy whose own physical shape is not the Athletic Inverted Triangle, no not even the passable rectangle, but more of a squishy oval. I wouldn't call him obesse.
I know that he has a warped view of women as frail helpless who like to rearange the living room furniture on a whim. and this is probably becouse of his mother and sisters. He thinks women should not be in the military and yada yada yada.

I would so pay to see some woman in armour whip his butt!

Did you make wish lists for christmas when you were a kid? I did. I don't really expect anything for chirstmas these days.
I know some people are starting to think about christmas already so here is a list of things the boys might like.
Firstoff, Clothes are good. Munchkin is in 3T but if you are getting him a shortsleeved t-shirt, might as well go for a size four. He has a skinny waist so make sure pants have belt loops all the way around! He likes just about any transportation vehicle. and dogs.
Bear is in 2T, but has shorter legs. He likes cars! He of course is wearing what Munchkin wore last year!

Wooden Railway
Munchkin really loves to play with his set, bear does too. We are fairly good for track, but I feel there we could use a few trains.
We have more than one Thomas, but could use Annie and Clarabel, Munchkin would probably like a caboose, or as he calls them "Backboose" the Thomas one is musical which could get annoying, so maybe a different brand? I know Munchkin would like a Desel engine as well. We need a turn table. We have a shed, but no turntabel to put the engines in with. There are other brands besides the Thomas, Brio, Melisa & Doug and Maxim Enterprises all work together.

As far as Thomas DVDs go, we have several already. Having heard several of the nararators, we Prefer George Carlin, though Ringo Star and Alec Baldwin are good too, the others, no. Amazon list of George Carlin ones we don't have.

Smart Cycle
we have one of these, but only have the cartridge that it came with . Munchkin is likely to enjoy the Thomas Cartridge,

Automoblox. He have a mini S9 These are of course too old for Bear, but I think they are more apealing to the Papa than the sons anyways.

We have enough Mega Blocks and wooden blocks.

Please no ride on toys, we already have one for each of them, which the love, but also use as a lader.
This is a public list!

at about 4 this morning bear woke up, he appears to have a two hour cycle. but this time he was quitly awake and wanted to snugle. He pushed his head up on to my bed and fell asleeep. I was awake too, nose to nose with him. he slowly drifted back down on to his bed. I fall asleep to, then he wakes again, and I pull him up into my bed and feed him and fall asleep, I breifly wake up when he rolls off our bed on to his own. When I wake up for real at 8:45, some of my blankets have shifted and covered him. I panic then find him. I end up getting up and go to the sewing room where I do some ironing. I hear him at 10, and go to see him, Munchkin is awake too. I take Bear to the bathroom and put him on the potty, he goes, I diaper him up and convince Munchkin to go potty too.
Time passes, it is 12 and Cat comes hom and bear runs up to be picked up, I warn Cat that he hasn't been changed in a while and check as he is being lifted up. Dry! so he goes on the potty and does well. 2 hours without a wet diaper!

He also was opening a waterbottle to drink out of.

I had followed him so I stuck him on the potty, he was happy! I love little success stories like that!

Yesterday was Munchkin's third birthday and we went to Chuck E cheeses as doing anything this weekend (4th of July!) sounded doomy! Boys had fun. Then to the office for Thomas cake and gifts. We now have a little kiddie pool!

Saw an add in the pennysaver for Thomas train track and DVDs, going to CV tomorrow to get them. hopefully not DVDs I already have. Also all my books have come in now so I ned to pick those up from the library today.

The day before yesterday was Aunties B-day and I worked with Munchkin while on the Bart to say Happy Birthday, so when we called her he would say it.
